1. Information Processed Locally
- Account Information: To support the 'Sign in with Apple' feature, the App processes the User Identifier, Name, and Email directly on the device.
- User-Generated Content: Mind map data (node positions, text, relationships, etc.) is processed and stored as files in a folder chosen by the user. This content is NOT transmitted to external servers.
- Migration: When upgrading from an earlier version, the App reads the existing mind map database on the device and writes the content into the new file format. This occurs entirely on the device.
- Information NOT Collected: We do not collect or access camera feeds, location data (GPS), hand tracking data, or the contents of mind maps, notes, and files on the device.
2. Information Collected and Transmitted
- Usage and Diagnostic Information: To improve the App and fix errors, we collect information about feature usage, purchase status, and error occurrences. This includes a device identifier generated by the App and is sent whether or not the user is signed in. When signed in, the account identifier is included as well.
- No User Content Is Included: The information we collect never includes user-created content such as mind map text, note contents, or file names.
- Account Registration: Upon sign-in, the account identifier we assign, the Apple user identifier, and the email address provided by Apple are transmitted to Supabase for account management. The user's name is not transmitted.
3. Use of Information
- Purpose of Use: To provide 3D rendering, authenticate PRO features, grant free trial access, detect and fix errors, and analyze usage patterns to improve the product.
- No AI Training: Under no circumstances is user data used for AI model training purposes.
4. Data Anonymization and Prevention of Re-identification
Events we collect are associated with a device identifier and, when the user is signed in, with the account. We may aggregate data for statistical and service improvement purposes. We do not attempt to re-identify specific individuals from de-identified information or reconstruct personal profiles.
5. Third-Party Services and Sharing
- Apple: For payment processing (StoreKit) and authentication (Sign in with Apple).
- Supabase: Stores account information and usage and diagnostic information. Mind map and note contents are not transmitted. The account information stored consists of a random identifier we assign and the opaque user identifier provided by Apple; we do not store names or contact details. If you choose 'Hide My Email' when signing in with Apple, your real email address is never shared with us. If you do not sign in, no account information is created at all.
- TelemetryDeck: For privacy-focused product analytics. TelemetryDeck does not sell or share data with third parties.
- iCloud Drive: If the user selects a folder inside iCloud Drive as the workspace, files sync through the user's own iCloud account under Apple's terms. We have no access to that folder or its contents.
- No Sale: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising revenue.
6. Data Storage and Security
- Local Security: Data is isolated and protected via Apple's App Sandbox technology.
- Server Security: Data transmitted to Supabase is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- User Content: Mind map projects, nodes, and notes are stored in the user's chosen folder and are not transmitted to our servers.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account Deletion: Users may delete their account at any time via [Settings > Account > Delete Account]. Upon deletion, all server-side data (Supabase) is deleted via an automated process.
- User Files: Mind maps and notes are not affected by account deletion. They remain in the user's folder and can be deleted by the user at any time.
- Analytics Events: Retained for product improvement and removed together with account data where linked to an account.
8. Your Rights (Compliance with CCPA/GDPR/Apple Guideline 5.1.1)
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data (via the Account Deletion feature) at any time. The App minimizes personal information exposure by functioning without requiring a separate membership sign-up.
